Baylis Medical Company Research Engineer Interview Questions

I'm not sure if I can add info since it's been over 30 days since I last posted about this job. Basically, I didn't get this job, and they've reposted it a bunch of times since. They even reposted it today with a salary of $35k-$45k. This is for a position that needs at least a Master's and expects experience. The fact that they keep reposting it makes me think 1) people quit a lot there and 2) people aren't taking the offers because the pay is too low. Overall, it doesn't seem like a great company culture.

It was a standard interview process. I first got a call from HR for an informational interview. After they reviewed my info, they scheduled an in-person interview at their Mississauga office. The formal interview started late because the interviewer was about 40 minutes behind schedule, so I waited in the room. The interview focused on my resume and why I was a good fit for the role, lasting about 40 minutes. They also collected a writing sample and reference sheet, and requested my transcript. I sent the transcript the next day along with a thank you note, as I was very keen on the job. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back. I followed up with an email three weeks later, but received no reply. After two months, they informed me I didn't get the job, without providing any specific reasons.

I initially spoke with the head of HR about my interest in the role and general questions. They then moved me to an afternoon interview with an engineer, where I faced more technical questions and was given a take-home design challenge with a 24-hour deadline. After submitting the project, HR contacted me a week later for a third interview. In this round, a different engineer seemed disengaged and hadn't reviewed my design project. The original engineer then joined, and we discussed my project, where they critically evaluated my design. Following this, the original engineer asked further questions about my resume. They concluded the interview stating they would inform me of their decision. I received a rejection email a few weeks later. I suspected they might be taking ideas rather than hiring, especially after seeing another ad for the same role shortly after.
