I had a first-round interview scheduled, but the interviewer didn't show up at the scheduled time. After I followed up to show I was still interested, they rescheduled me for the next week, but then canceled the interview 20 minutes before it was supposed to start because of a "business-critical meeting." I agreed to reschedule for the next day, but didn't get a confirmation. The following week, they reached out again to schedule a meeting on short notice. I suggested an alternative time for the next day, and they confirmed. However, the interview was rescheduled again just two hours before the meeting. After two weeks of constant last-minute cancellations and bad communication, I decided to withdraw my application.

It's one thing not getting back to candidates who don't make it past the resume screening, and others who make it past the phone interview and reach the 2nd in-person interview and then get ghosted! It's unprofessional and disrespectful, and sends a bad impression about your company. I understand you might not have the answers or are waiting on the hiring manager, but a simple acknowledgement of the follow-up email and a quick update should be enough. Completely stopping replies or answering phone calls is unprofessional and a waste of candidates' time, especially when they prepare and travel to your site more than once over 2 months! Now, the people I met were nice and welcoming. The hiring process itself needs improvement.

Had an HR phone interview for 15 mins as a screening, then went for an in-person interview on site for an hour with the hiring engineer, then got the offer very quickly after the in-person interview.
