First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Baxter.
Engineer
The screening part was pretty average, but setting up the interview itself was a whole different story. They asked for my availability and then went silent for two weeks. When I followed up, they told me the position was already filled. Just when I thought I was done with it, a week later they reached out again, asking for an interview for the same role! I always wondered why they didn't address the confusion. The actual interview day was packed with panel and one-on-one sessions. It started with a panel of engineers who seemed like my peers, followed by a one-on-one with the supervisor, and then another one-on-one with the manager. The engineers and supervisor seemed pretty hyped about the role. The manager, though, didn't seem prepared at all, just reading from a script and appearing too busy to really care about the interview process. I noticed a lot of young engineers, mostly recent college grads, around the office. In the end, I declined their offer because our negotiation attempts didn't go well.

Engineering
I found the job posting on the company's website and applied online. The interview process involved an initial HR phone screen, followed by a phone screen with the hiring manager. After that, there was a half-day on-site interview where I met with five different people one-on-one. The interviewers were all professional. My last interview started a bit later than planned because some of the previous ones ran over. The hiring manager didn't seem to have specific questions and ended up asking general interview questions. During the interview with upper management, they focused on my leadership potential rather than just how I'd fit the specific role.

Senior Design Engineer
The interview process had 2 rounds of technical discussions. The first round was done virtually and the second round was a face to face interview. The HR team and the hiring manager were very flexible and ensured that all the arrangements were excellent. The team arranged for flight tickets and cab pickup in a short period of time and the overall interview experience was excellent and fully satisfactory.
- Can you describe your professional experience as it relates to the role you've applied for?
