First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at BaubleBar.
Assistant Designer
The hiring process began with an HR email asking for a design project submission before any actual interview, which I completed and sent back on time. In hindsight, that was likely a bad sign given there was no initial chat. After that, I was called in for several rounds of interviews. However, my submitted work was never acknowledged or discussed during any of these. One interviewer even confessed they hadn't bothered to read my resume, which struck me as extremely unprofessional. The entire experience felt draining, poorly managed, and dismissive of my creative contributions. It gave me the impression the company might be looking to get free ideas from aspiring creatives instead of respecting their time and effort.
- How do you collaborate with team members during the creative process?
Designer
So I did a test project and sent in an ai file, which is pretty standard. After that, I had an interview but then never heard back, so I'm guessing I didn't get the job. It's been more than three weeks since the interview. It would be great if they could at least send an email to let you know you didn't get the position instead of just ghosting you.
- Can you discuss your relevant experience?
- What was your reasoning for selecting the theme for the collection?
- Do you have answers to some specific questions?
Designer
This was a really great experience, everyone was professional and friendly, and you could tell they enjoy their jobs. They asked smart questions, and the interviews were on time, which gave me plenty of time to ask them questions too. A cool rule they have is that both co-founders meet everyone before they get hired. The first interview was with a couple of designers, and then I got a test. If I passed that, I then met the rest of the team and the co-founders. They make decisions pretty fast, which is awesome.
- Could you explain your reasoning for staying at your previous jobs for under two years?
