The interview process was really smooth. I had a call with a recruiter first, then a phone interview with the manager, and finally a panel interview at the job site. Everyone communicated well and on time. The interviewers were friendly and asked direct questions about my experience and background, nothing tricky.

Get ready for a full day of interviews, and yeah, a presentation. Since this is an academic-focused place, they're gonna be super into your school, GPA, and professors. They want you to be 'world class' at PNNL, so talk about your scientific interests and how you'll make the lab famous. Your presentation needs to cover not just what you did, but how it connects to the DOE Office of Science mission for the specific directorate you're applying to.

started with a phone interview, then i had an in person interview. They flew me to Utah for the interview and tour of the facility. It was a group interview with various department managers and supervisors. The interview was about 1.5 hours and the tour was another 45 minutes. The whole thing took about 4 hours because of security and tests required to get into the facility.
