First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bates White Economic Consulting.
Summer Analyst
The process was smooth and nice, they will give you a case to solve, but overall it’s not hard. There will be two interviewers, and they are both really nice.
- Describe an instance where you worked with data.
Analyst
The interview process started with a 45-minute session that combined case study and behavioral questions. This was followed by a second round which was a full day, lasting over 5 hours. Despite the positive interactions and my feeling confident about receiving an offer, I was ultimately not selected and did not receive any feedback even after I followed up.
- Can you describe how you've evolved during your college years?
Analyst
It was two rounds of case interviews, mostly quantitative questions but also some behavioral ones. They weren't too tough compared to consulting in general. I could use a calculator, and the questions were typical for economic consulting. The interviewers were nice and helpful.
- What draws you to economic consulting?
- Could you describe your research background?
