Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bass Pro Shops.
Warehouse Associate
It was a chill interview. You first meet with the head of the department you're applying for. If they like you, you then get interviewed by the store manager. Just be yourself and answer truthfully. If you impress the manager, you then go for a drug screen. They also do a background check before hiring you. Once you're in, they train you well for your position.
- What is your motivation for working in a warehouse?
Receiver
I started with an Open House event where the manager asked a few simple questions and set up a second, more in-depth interview. A third interview followed with a couple more simple questions, and then I was offered the position.
- Which department is your favorite?
- In which department at Bass Pro do you see yourself fitting in?
- What outdoor activities do you enjoy?
Warehouse Associate
I was put in a little office nook in the corner and had to wait a long time for the manager. When he finally showed up, he started asking questions, but they all felt irrelevant to the job.
- What is the one thing?
- They asked about many things.
