Hunting Associate
You go through mass hire for grand opening then a tier level of different interviews before the job offer. You interview with a quick session, if you get that you go back and schedule a second interview, if you get that then you schedule a department manager interview then, on with either ops or merch and finally the GM.
- No specific questions, just be friendly and smile.
Hunting Associate
The whole thing was pretty straightforward. It was a bit over an hour with a one-on-one chat with the manager. They hit me with the usual stuff like why I wanna work there, my strengths and weaknesses, and what I liked and disliked about my previous manager. Then, there was a 90-question personality test, scoring from 1 (disagree) to 10 (agree). They asked about products I use, if I hunt or fish, and where I've done that. Basically, don't fib, they'll grill you on the specific gear you use and ask you to explain it. If you're not up to speed on hunting gear, just own it. Pro-tip: dress sharp for the interview. Ditch the jeans, boots, and tees. I wore khakis, a button-up, and loafers, and they definitely noticed and liked it. Saw a stack of other applications for the same role, but I got the offer before I even walked out the door. First impressions really do count. Overall, it was a good experience.
- Are you using an overdraw with your bow?
Hunting Associate
I had a call with HR, then the manager of the department interviewed me. Then I went back for a second interview with the GM of the store. He asked me pretty much the same questions to see if my answers were consistent. Two days later, the manager called me to offer me the job.
