Applied for the job, and it took a few months to get an interview. Had 3 interviews total (the last 2 back-to-back on the same day). The whole thing from scheduling the first interview to getting an offer took about a month or so. First up was a 1-hour phone call with HR and an environmental engineer. Mostly asked about my resume and if I was really into the job and company. Got a call about a week later to set up the next two interviews, which they scheduled for the same day, one right after the other. The second interview was a 1-hour Teams call with 3 environmental engineers. Lots of 'tell me about a time when' questions. The third interview happened immediately after the second. It was a 1.5-hour call with an HR person and an environmental engineer. This one was super conversational and really depended on me having good questions prepared. Got the offer about 1-2 weeks after that. Everyone was really nice, welcoming, and knew their stuff!

Behavioral Technical

I had an interview with 3 Barr employees that lasted about 45 minutes. An HR person asked me some behavior questions, and a senior engineer described the position and answered my questions. It was a well-organized and thorough interview, but it was a bit strange that none of the interviewers were from the location I applied for.

Behavioral Technical

It was a full-day interview process with several hour-long panels, which was quite draining as I had to be "on" for half the day with different groups of interviewers. Some questions were repeated across different sessions. All the people I met were nice and friendly. After completing the interviews, Barr extended an offer. I was happy and felt honored to be offered the role, but there was an unexpected condition: I had to sign a contract agreeing to work only in a specific department for a set number of years (X years), after which I could move to other departments. This was confusing given that everyone in the interviews talked about a flat work environment. I tried to negotiate the contract terms, but we couldn't reach a mutual agreement. Additionally, even after discussing salary, the offer was at the lower end of what's considered market value for this role and my qualifications.
