A senior advisor's assistant will email you with potential times to meet, and you get to choose what time and day. Once the meetings are confirmed, they will cancel and reschedule meetings on you like 5 times right before the meeting starts. Takes months to get through the interviews.
- What do you hope to gain from this role?
Financial Advisor
I got the job through campus recruiting. The recruiters were really nice and seemed genuinely interested in what motivates me as a new grad. First, I had a casual phone chat that was mostly about my personality. Then, I had an in-person interview that was split into two parts. The first part was with the same recruiter I spoke with earlier; she explained what makes Barnum-Barnum special and then let me ask questions. The next meeting was more of a behavioral interview, focusing on my competitiveness and passions to understand the kind of worker I am. The final interview was with my potential direct supervisor. He was upfront about how selective the role is and really probed me on my expectations for working conditions. I didn't accept the offer because of the location, but it was overall one of the best interview experiences I've had.
- Can you share some past activities that demonstrated your competitive drive?
- Describe the highs and lows you've experienced related to your competitive drive.
Financial Advisor
The interview process is quite structured, with four distinct steps. Mostly, you'll be meeting with the District Manager, but there was also one interview with a current employee. The people here are great and give you a good outline of what you are getting into, before you get into it.
- When it comes to managing your career, would you prefer to lead a team in a big company or run your own business?
