Communication needs improvement. I get that everyone is busy and scheduling can be tough, but my responses and follow-ups would go unanswered for over two weeks. I made it to the final round for two different jobs, with a total of seven interviews, all within about eight hours. They told me I was their top candidate and they really wanted me, and then I was ghosted. It was really disappointing to have put so much time and effort into preparing outside of the interviews, with slide decks and project documentation, and the company didn't even have the decency to let me know I didn't get the job. I know this is common practice for companies, but being told I was their top pick, then ghosted for two more weeks, and finally rejected is absurd.

It started with a phone screen, then I had two more interviews. The first was with the manager, and the second was with the department head. They were pretty welcoming interviews and they asked me about my previous experience and work history. They also asked about my experience with different systems and if I knew HRIS.

Interviewer lags but the team is nice. This shouldn't stop you from applying; it's worth a shot! This isn't a negative review, but a realistic view of my interview. A friend who works there recommended me, and I liked the team members I met at an event, so I applied. I had a few good phone calls with the Barkley recruiting team, who said I did well and would be considered. Then, I didn't hear back for months because of internal adjustments, and they said they'd get back to me in the new year. It's disappointing that a talented company like Barkley doesn't pay more attention to potential candidates. They're a respected agency, and I wish they'd uphold that standard with potential talent.

I applied online and they emailed me to set up an in-person interview. But there was a mix-up, so I called to confirm the appointment after they emailed that they wanted to meet me. The day after the call, I got an email to schedule the interview for that Friday with five people. The day before, I got another email saying the original time didn't work for the team, and the interview would be later. Before the interview, the hiring manager said hello and asked how soon I could start if offered a job. I said three weeks to give my current company time to find a replacement and transition my work. Then, I met with four of the five people scheduled – the fifth was the client and couldn't make it. Everyone seemed friendly and got along well. They mentioned this was a bit different and a closer environment with this client. I didn't hear back after the interview.
