Technical

The interview process was quite long and challenging, really digging into technical details. They asked a lot of questions covering OS, DBMS, DSA, and CN. Basic C programming concepts were also touched upon. Additionally, there was a question about quantum computing, specifically asking for ideas related to the Bloch sphere.

It was just one technical round and there were eight scientists on the panel. They gave me 5 topics to choose from. They mainly checked my concepts and basics, not applied or research stuff at this point. The interview lasted about 45 minutes. Everyone was really nice.

I had a panel interview with 5 people. Two of them were just observing and not asking questions. The other three were asking questions. One of the questioners, the one in the middle, had a neutral reaction to my answers. The person next to him seemed to be there just to demotivate me, as he laughed after every answer I gave. The person next to him, a woman, was very encouraging, nodding and motivating me to stay calm after each of my answers.

Technical Coding

I got to the interview stage after passing a written test that only had technical questions relevant to my B. Tech. The interview itself was entirely technical, with no HR involved. They first asked me to list 5 subjects I was interested in, and questions would only come from those. There were about 5 or 6 interviewers, each focusing on one of my chosen subjects. They asked basic questions, and then followed up based on my answers. The whole thing lasted about an hour or more. Since I'm a computer science student, I got questions from subjects like Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Data Structures, Algorithms, DBMS, and C programming.

Confirmed questions6 questions
  • Can you list the components of a socket?
  • What is the operating system's function when a file is executed on Windows?
  • How would you write a C program to combine a given string and one from user input?
