Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Banter by Piercing Pagoda.
Assistant Manager
It was a straightforward and stress-free interview process. I felt at ease because the interviewers were very amiable. It started with a phone call, followed by some computer-based paperwork.
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this role?
Assistant Manager
Applied online and then had a long assessment with skills and personality quizzes. Following that, there were 3 interview sessions: one on the phone, and two in person with the District Manager and Store Manager. The interviews were held in a really loud food court, and the manager was smoking cigarettes the whole time. Management was a bit unprofessional but seemed fun to work with.
- Can you share your experience?
- What do you know about our products?
- Describe how you handle customer service.
Assistant Manager
I applied online and then got a call to do an online assessment about two weeks later. I was called back three days after the assessment to schedule an interview. The interview happened the next day. Then I was told to wait for a call from the DM for a second interview. This was a phone interview, and then an in-person interview three days after that. The DM told me during the interview that I had to do an assessment for the SM position, which I thought was strange. I got a call back from the DM with a job offer four days later.
- Can you tell me about a particularly challenging customer you dealt with and explain your approach to managing that situation?
