The whole process felt pretty straightforward and manageable, with just enough pressure to keep things interesting. First, I had a chat with one of the Bank's recruiters. After that, I had two more interviews with people from the team I'd be joining, one of them being the senior manager and the other the Vice-president.

I got referred by an internal employee for a personal finance advisor position in Quebec. I was then contacted by phone for an online test and a phone interview, which I passed with flying colors. However, the in-person interview was the most uncomfortable interview experience I've ever had. One interviewer kept looking at their phone while I was answering questions, and the other one clearly showed boredom through their sighs. I felt from the beginning that my fate was already sealed, but since I was referred, they had to pretend. My intuition was right because they sent me a rejection email. I'm a client of this bank, but honestly, for a bank that claims to stand out by valuing each candidate's unique potential, I am very disappointed with the behavior of these two managers. I will probably close my account and switch banks.
