Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bank of India.
Manager
There were multiple stages. First was a telephone interview where we talked about myself and my interests. It was very informal. Next was a hiring event where I had to introduce my partners, discuss apple products and do role plays. This was also very informal. I am currently on the group interview stage and am really not sure how the selection process takes place. Of course, Apple looks at personality, but how do they judge that this person will achieve what is required?

Assistant Manager
The interview process involved an HR and a Technical round. Questions covered a range of topics including the political situation in Bihar, economic indicators like GDP, inflation, and banking concepts, government schemes like MNREGA, and personal questions about family, future aspirations, and strengths.
- Could you discuss the current political situation in Bihar?
- Can you define GDP?
- What is the current GDP growth rate of India?
Manager
The job posting was for a Credit Analyst/Financial Analyst. Before the interviews, there was a written exam for all candidates across India. I was among the 10+ candidates who passed the written test and then one of the three who did well in the interview. The whole process took about 6 months.
- Can you describe your past work experience?
- Could you present your case study on investment and credit proposal?
- What are the technical considerations for project finance?
