Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bank of Communications.
Intern
It was just two people from the HR department interviewing and they mainly focus on what's on your resume. The emphasis is on your work experience and extra-curricular activities you participate in school.
- Could you describe your responsibilities and tasks during your most recent internship?
Intern
We had a group discussion with HR. It was divided into a few parts: first, a self-introduction, then we discussed current issues. Finally, there were some personal questions asked in Mandarin. They also asked about department preferences and why I preferred them.
- Could you introduce yourself?
- What are your thoughts on current issues, particularly within the banking sector?
- Do you have any personal questions for me (in Mandarin)?
Intern
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. They started with a resume walkthrough and asked some expected behavioral questions, as well as technical questions covering fundamental concepts in finance, accounting, markets, and investing. If you have a good grasp of the basics and can present yourself in a welcoming, friendly, and professional way, you should do well.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your motivation for pursuing wealth management?
