Graduate Trainee
We had a group interview first, which was about 30 minutes long. We had to discuss a current news topic, pick the best solution, and then rank all the proposed solutions. After the group discussion, there was a presentation. The interview was conducted in both English and Chinese.
- What insights did you gain from your previous internship?
Graduate Trainee
So basically, it was a case interview, all in English. We had 10 minutes to read the case ourselves, then 20 minutes for a group discussion, and then 10 minutes for a presentation. After that, the people who got shortlisted went on to have an individual interview with two hiring managers, and they could choose to do it in Cantonese or Mandarin.
- Can you give an example of when you thought outside the box?
Graduate Trainee
We had two interview rounds on the same day. The first was a group interview with about 8-10 people, involving a case study, discussion, and then a presentation. The second round was with a manager and HR, mostly in Cantonese and English, but one question was asked in Putonghua.
- Could you tell me what you know about channel management?
- In your opinion, what is the main difference between Mainlanders and Hongkongers?
