& Process

The interview process is pretty straightforward. There was just one interview session with someone from the department. It lasted about 60 minutes and involved a group of 5-6 candidates. They asked us about our availability, did a SWOT analysis, asked about our related experience, and other things about ourselves.

i filled out the application online, then did an online assessment. After that, selected candidates were invited for an interview at Mandiri Tower Surabaya. At the tower, they took our photos and measured our weight. Following that, there was an HR interview, which I didn't pass due to lack of prep. The process continues with a Business Case Selection, a Leaderless Group Discussion, a Final Interview, a Medical Check-Up, and finally, a Job Offer.

We'll start with getting to know you better. Tell me about yourself, your education, and what you've accomplished. What do you think makes you a good fit for banking? Then, we'll dive into your motivation for banking, specifically Bank Mandiri, and why you're interested in this Regional Business role. Thinking ahead, where do you see your career in five years? I'm also curious about how your Engineering Physics background ties into business and banking. Share your internship experience at PT KAI and how it relates to business and management. What did you learn as a Document Control and Administrator in the Robotics lab? Let's talk about internship challenges and how you handled them. How did leading your final project develop your leadership and teamwork? We'll also touch on family influences on your career and the values you bring from home. Lastly, what makes you the best choice for this role at Bank Mandiri?

Started the interview in mid-November 2022 and accept the offer in early January 2023. 1st interview was with 3 Senior Vice Presidents from the Business Departments. After almost 1 month, I got an invitation for a 2nd interview with the Human Capital Manager. This interview is more relaxed than the 1st one. They want to know you personally and how you will fit into this role...and what you can contribute. After a week, I got a phone call from HR to discuss the remuneration (I was asked to prepare copies of the past 3 months' salary slips). The next day, they arrange a zoom meeting detailing the remuneration & benefit (also salary negotiation). After settling with the agreed number, the next process is Medical Check Up and Background Check by 3rd party (you will be asked to name 2 colleagues & 1 supervisor for reference). If you passed both MCU and Background checks, then you will most definitely be hired.
