First, there was a written test covering basic banking terms, accounting, and logic. Then, an interview with HR to discuss your education and work history, mainly to see how well you communicate and present yourself.

They'll call to set up your interview and exam. Mine was today, Oct. 9. The guard was the only one welcoming; the rest of the HR department seemed dull and robotic, saying rehearsed lines, which was intimidating. At Ortigas Bldg 2, you register info on a tablet. With over 40 candidates, there's a wait. The exam has 3 parts for business grads: logic, accounting, and one essay. Logic and accounting are timed, the essay isn't. Results are checked immediately, but you're not told if you pass or fail. The interview followed, with common resume questions. My interviewer seemed rushed, speaking too fast to recall her name. After I answered one question slowly, she dismissed me. They said they'd call within 2 weeks if considered. You know if you passed if they give you an employment application form.

The initial and 2nd interviews were good. The 3rd interview with upper management wasn't great, and felt unnecessary. The person above my potential supervisor didn't seem to understand Graphic Design, and how my print and digital work for events could apply to BDO Insure's department. The manager also misled me about a second chance. They never scheduled it, and instead of being professional and saying they were moving on with another candidate, they lied about having another interview. Be cautious about the 3rd interview at BDO Insure.
