Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Banco De Oro.
Client Service Associate
The interview process started with a review of my resume and some basic questions. After that, there was a usual exam, followed by a final interview. Then, HR provided instructions for a medical examination. Once the medical results were clear, they contacted me via phone and email to confirm my training start date.
- How would you contribute to this company?
Client Service Associate
The first interview was pretty straightforward, mostly asking common questions like why I left my previous job, what salary I was looking for, and if I was okay with working holidays, weekends, or overtime. The final interview with the regional head lasted about 20 minutes. Expect to talk a lot because most of the questions were situational and required detailed explanations. I can't recall the exact questions, but there were many. Since I was the second-to-last person interviewed, I got a sense of how long other applicants' interviews were.
- What prompted your departure from your previous role?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Would you be amenable to working on holidays?
Client Service Associate
I applied in June 2019 via Jobstreet and email, and after almost a month, I was invited for an exam/interview at their Ortigas Ave. (Greenhills) office. The whole thing took about half a day, from 1 to 6 PM. Since I was hoping for a spot in my province's branch, and they didn't think they had openings then, they promised to call if something came up. Over a month later, they reached out about an interview at one of my preferred provincial branches and mentioned it would take two weeks if I got the job. About three weeks passed, and they called with a job offer, but I'd already accepted another position by then.
- What skills do you possess that you believe make you a suitable candidate for this position?
