Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Banco De Oro.
Internal Auditor
Applied through Jobstreet and got a phone interview the same day I applied online. They asked about my experience and what's on my resume. Then, there was an exam with abstract and psychological tests. After that, I had a very short interview with HR, less than 10 minutes. The HR person seemed uninterested and sarcastic. They said they'd call if I passed the exam for the final interview, but I never got a call or text, which means I didn't get through. I'm actually thankful I didn't make it at BDO because I got hired by a company with a better HR manager and a better environment. P.S. Smile is free.
- What prompted you to leave your previous employment?
- Were there any instances of failing grades during your academic history?
Internal Auditor
The HR person who reached out was really rude. She always had an arrogant tone. She never let me finish speaking and would constantly interrupt. It was the worst interview process I've experienced. I wouldn't suggest it. If the HR is like this during the interview process, imagine how it is once you're actually working there.

Audit Associate
It was pretty straightforward. Started with an exam and then had a one-on-one interview. Since there were a lot of people applying, the whole process took the whole day. The pay was a bit less than I was looking for, though.
- Can you introduce yourself?
