Project Manager
Got contacted fast and professionally. It's a process with a few steps, starting with HR, then going straight to the team. The questions were fair and direct. They share a lot of insights and explain things thoroughly.
- What makes you a good fit for this role?
Marketing Project Manager
It took a lot of following up over 2-3 weeks just to get some basic info. After that, I had a recruiter chat, did a video interview, and then an in-person interview. It was tough getting updates after the in-person part; I had to reach out like 5-6 times. They ended up going with someone who was further along in the process because it was easier for them, even though I was one of the first applicants. Honestly, it felt unprofessional and rude to ghost applicants instead of just telling them they didn't get the job. I didn't hear back until a week later. This whole process needs a serious overhaul.
- What were the questions asked, which you remember being quite normal questions?
Marketing Project Manager
It was a really fast interview process. I applied, did a Hireview, and had an in-person interview all within a week. Then, a week later, I got rejected. Two weeks after that, the job was posted again. I messaged the hiring manager for another chance, and they kindly agreed to a week later and gave me an assignment. I put a lot of hours into it, but unfortunately, a week after I sent it back, I was automatically disqualified because I had others review my work, which they never mentioned was a rule. I get why, but I think collaboration is important. I just wish I had known beforehand. I appreciate the extra look the hiring manager gave me, but I'm ultimately bummed that they didn't communicate the expectations properly, which led to me being disqualified. Because of this, I'll be telling others to think twice before applying to BambooHR. I'm not sure people will want to work for a company that blames others for their own communication failures.
- How would you approach a situation where a company wants to run a webinar that differs from Bamboo's typical offerings?
- Can you share an instance where you made an error and describe how you rectified it?
