Senior Software Engineer
There were 2 interviews total. I talked with potential team members first, and then with HR for the second interview.

Software Developer
First, I chatted with someone who wanted to get to know me. It was a really comfortable conversation where they told me all about the company and what I needed to know. Then, I had a tech interview with a senior engineer and the team lead. Honestly, it was the best tech interview I've ever had – not because I had all the right answers, but it really felt like I was already part of the team. The final stage involved a coding project to test my skills. They ended up sending a good offer, but I couldn't accept it for personal reasons.
- Can you explain the difference between map and flatMap when working with streams?
- What distinguishes StringBuffer from StringBuilder?
- How do Map and Hash differ?
Software Developer
The interview process was a bit messy, although the interviewers were nice and professional. The first interview was typical, discussing tech concepts and answering some behavioral questions. I didn't ace all the concept questions, so I wasn't surprised to not hear back. Over two weeks later, a different recruiter contacted me about a 'Senior Developer' role, even though I applied for a non-senior position, and they said it was a second-round interview. Communication with the recruiter was confusing and lacked detail about the interview, like changing the duration from 1hr to 2hr after asking for my availability. The interview itself was professional with prepared interviewers. I struggled with the shared screen coding, but they were patient and encouraging. I felt I didn't do great but hoped for an update after spending hours on it. It was disappointing not to receive a rejection email.
