Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bally's Interactive.
Insight Analyst
The interview process started with a phone screening where they asked basic STAR method questions and about compensation expectations. Next, there was a more technical interview focused on probability concepts and the day-to-day skills required for the role. This technical part would involve probability questions, like those related to dice rolls. Unfortunately, the connection was poor during this interview, which made the overall experience negative. If they don't move forward with your application, they tend to ghost candidates, which is a red flag about company culture, so proceed with caution.
- Can you explain basic dice roll probability, such as the chance of getting a sum of 12 with two dice?
Insight Analyst
First, I had a call with the recruiter who works at the company. They checked my background and if I would be a good fit for the role and company culture. They asked some simple problem solving questions. Then I had a virtual interview with two managers. They wanted to know about my experience, skills, and technical abilities and asked some statistical and numerical reasoning questions.
- Can you answer statistical and numerical reasoning questions?
Insight Analyst
The entire interview was conducted over the phone. First, I got a call from the internal recruiter for an initial screening. After that, I had a second interview with a senior Data Analyst. They assessed my technical background, checked my understanding of basic probability, and inquired about my motivation for joining the company.
