Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bally's Interactive.
Product Owner
The interview process had 2 stages. First, I had an initial chat with a recruiter about the role, benefits, and my experience. Then, I interviewed with a senior team member and they asked about the day-to-day activities of the role. I was told when to expect to hear back, but it's been a while and I haven't heard anything, so I guess I didn't get it. It would've been cool to at least get a rejection notification.

The first two stages of the interview process were fine, and the interviewers were professional and competent. But the final interview was totally different. The interviewers were extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. They laughed at me and interrupted me before I could finish my answers. One interviewer barely talked and seemed distracted. The other interviewer was condescending, acting like I was inferior, and then laughed at me. Based on my experience and other reviews, I'd suggest avoiding this company. Other people have said it's a 'misogynistic boys' club' where interviewers are rude and laugh at candidates. This kind of unprofessional and disrespectful behavior doesn't seem like it would lead to a good or inclusive work culture.

So I had 2 interviews that were about 2 hours each, and the team I would be working with was there. Even though there were a lot of people, it felt friendly and like a conversation, but they really dug into my skills and experience. There were never more than 3 people at once, and I met about 10 people total over the 2 interviews. This meant some questions were asked more than once, but since everyone was from a different background, I could change my answers for each person instead of just saying the same thing. The interview rooms were nice, and the trip there gave a good look at the office, plus I got to look around when I left. They quickly scheduled my 2nd interview and then offered me the job right after it, which was awesome because other companies have left me hanging before. Getting the contract sorted was easy, and the onboarding was good. Happy to have started.
