Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ball Corporation.
Process Technician
It was a good interview with 3 quality professionals. They evaluated my professional experience and asked questions about various situations.
- Where do you see yourself in 2, 5, and 10 years?
Maintenance Technician
I showed up 15 minutes early, fully prepared with my brag binder and having researched the company, and dressed professionally. The HR person knew I was early but still made me wait an extra 10 minutes to start. I then met with an HR rep and a maintenance manager. The manager looked unprepared, wearing a skull hoodie, and didn't even know he was interviewing me until I was in the room. Neither of them seemed ready for the interview. They kept asking if I understood that the job would involve getting dirty, despite knowing I was a military helicopter mechanic.
- Can you share an instance where you felt pressure to deviate from standard procedures while performing a maintenance task?
- Are you aware that this role may require you to get dirty?
Electronics Technician
I had a phone interview with a recruiter from Ball Talent, who's based in Colorado. I felt like it went pretty well and I'm now waiting to hear back. They mentioned a possible second interview or an in-person interview and plant tour in Tampa, FL.
- Can you tell me about your experience with PLC Programming?
- Would you be open to working a rotating shift schedule?
- What specific areas of electrical background do you have experience in?
