It was a pretty straightforward interview process, and they asked fewer technical questions than I anticipated. They did ask questions that directly related to my interpersonal and problem-solving skills. They were also very clear about how the interview and hiring process would proceed.

I applied and heard back about two weeks later to schedule a phone interview. It was pretty standard, nothing too crazy. Then, about a week after that, they reached out to set up another interview, this time with a panel. That one lasted about an hour and also covered standard questions. They let me know about the offer about a week or so after the panel interview. It was a good experience overall. Definitely remember to ask questions during the interviews, because it's important for you to figure out if the company is a good fit too, not just for them to assess you.

HR called to set up a phone screen with the hiring manager and another junior manager. It was about 45 minutes. They said they wanted to do an in-person interview and HR said they'd schedule travel in a week. I didn't hear back for 3 weeks and had to follow up twice before getting travel plans. The in-person part started with HR, then a panel interview with 14 people. They took turns asking questions from a packet, mostly behavioral, and then ranked my answers. It was about two hours and people came and went. I got about 15 minutes to ask questions and then a tour. I didn't get feedback for five weeks, then HR called to say they hired someone else. The long waits made me feel like they weren't serious. The big panel was awkward and didn't feel like a conversation, and it was unclear who was making decisions. The panel probably caused the delays. Other aerospace companies have better processes than Ball.
