The interviewer started by giving a brief overview of the job duties. Then, they asked about my previous work experience to see how it aligns with the position I'm applying for. After that, there were some questions about the company's core values, specifically safety. Finally, the interviewer asked some questions about the position itself or the company.

This is an automated interview where you'll record answers to six questions. You'll have 60 seconds for each, but can stop early if you're happy with your answer. This is a chance to impress the interviewer, showcase your best skills, and record from your own place and time. You'll need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a reliable internet connection. Make sure your background is clear, well-lit, and quiet. Use an external microphone if needed. Refresh your knowledge about the company, industry developments, and your own interests and achievements. Think about examples that demonstrate the company values and competencies for the role.

The assessment centre had 3 main parts. First was an interview, split into three sections. The first section was about getting to know you and your background. The second section focused on competency questions, where I was asked for examples of leadership, dilemmas, rectifying mistakes, and successful problem-solving. Then came technical questions, which were pretty basic, mostly about general civil engineering knowledge like foundations, depending on the specific role. After that, there was a presentation task given three days prior to the assessment day. The presentation covered the company, the specific sector, the company's zero harm policy, and what unique contributions you can make. The last part was a 'written task,' which was essentially preparing for a presentation on an arbitrary and simple task. The main focus was on how you collaborate with teammates and explore ideas. Contrary to some other reports, there were no additional reasoning tests to verify online scores. The interview itself was easy, but the presentation might be challenging. The overall application process involved waiting for applications to close, then online reasoning tests, followed by an online interview, and finally, the assessment centre.
