First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Balbix.
Software Engineer Intern
After submitting my application online with my resume, I got a quick reply and then went through a whole interview process. First up was a behavioral interview, where they asked about my previous experiences and how I'd fit into the company. After that, there was a technical interview that tested my skills, especially in writing test cases.
- Could you implement a function and then write 5 test cases for it?
Senior Software Engineer
Had 5 interview rounds in total, all wrapped up in 10 days! The first three were technical interviews, and honestly, it was the best interview experience I've had. The last two rounds were with some executives. I got the offer within 2 weeks of finishing.
- What's the minimum number of races needed to find the fastest competitors?
Software Engineer
There were a total of 7 rounds in the interview process. The first 6 rounds were a great experience, with friendly and supportive interviewers during the coding interviews. The CTO seemed genuinely concerned about engineer well-being, and the recruiter was excellent – prompt, communicative, and accommodating to my request for an expedited process. The interview process spanned 3 to 3.5 weeks, with each round on a separate day, which was a nice change from back-to-back interviews. The rounds included: 1st - Recruiter Screening, 2nd - Online Assessment (Codility with 3 questions: 1 LeetCode medium, 2 class implementations), 3rd - 1st technical video interview (1 LeetCode medium with optimization follow-ups), 4th - 2nd technical video interview (2 system design questions), 5th - Hiring Manager interview (general background), 6th - CTO interview (general background), and finally, 7th - interview with the CEO.
- What superpower do you possess?
- Is Python my preferred programming language?
- Can you describe how you define quality in your work or product?
