Started with a recruiter screen and then a call with the hiring manager, which was good. She was engaging, asked good questions, and was direct. Then I had to submit work samples. A week later, I had a call with the director, but my WiFi was bad and I didn't know the video had stalled until the end. The whole thing took over 3 months. After the last call, I heard nothing back, which was unprofessional and disappointing given the job market and time spent.

The interview process was very friendly and straightforward. This is generally because the audit industry is short on staff. Questions usually relate to why you want to join the audit field, or why you're not pursuing opportunities with the Big 4 firms, and similar topics.
- What made you decide to go into audit?
- Can you explain why you chose to join audit rather than one of the Big 4 accounting firms?

So after the initial phone interview, the in-person I did was super unprofessional. The person who was supposed to meet me didn't even show up. Then, when I got upstairs, the room we were supposed to use was taken, so we had to do the interview in the partner's office. His desk phone rang like, 5 minutes in, he just stared at it, and then picked up and left the room for like 5-10 minutes. When he came back, he was kind of impatient and just asked some really basic questions about my experience. The whole thing was supposed to be an hour, but it only ended up being like 20-25 minutes.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
