Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Baker Tilly.
Senior Accountant
So the whole process had two parts: first, a call with HR, and then an in-person interview. The second interview was about an hour long. The people interviewing me were nice and professional, it felt pretty welcoming. They also told me a lot about the company's past, what they believe in, and where they're heading, which was good to know about their vibe.
- Can you share an instance of conflict with a coworker or manager?
Accountant
This interview experience was really unprofessional because they switched interviewers on the day of, and they seemed unprepared. They asked a lot of questions that felt useless, and I got the impression they weren't actually looking to hire anyone, making me feel like my time was wasted.
- What are your hobbies?
Staff Accountant
I interviewed with a partner who was very friendly. The questions were of average difficulty. They liked my employment history, so I was offered a position, which I accepted. I'd recommend it as a great place to work with good work/life balance.
- How do you work in a team?
- How do you meet deadlines?
