Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Baker Tilly International.
Audit Assistant
The interview was friendly and professional. After an introduction to the company, all my questions were answered. The future tasks were explained and the salary was discussed. The employer's questions were typical. So no trick questions or unusual questions.
- How do you imagine your daily work with us?
Tax Assistant
Applied online and did some online tests. Then there was a first stage assessment centre where I repeated the online tests. The second stage assessment centre involved a group exercise where we had to choose which project to invest in. After that, there was a competency interview, followed by a presentation and a final partner interview. There was a lot of waiting around at this assessment centre. They made me wait 2 weeks after the final interview before they called just to tell me i didn't get the job. Would have been a positive experience if not for this ridiculous wait, very dissapointed.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Baker Tilly?
- What makes you want to pursue a career in Tax?
- Describe a situation where you successfully solved a problem.
Finance
It was a pretty easy interview process overall, and everyone I met was very approachable. The first interview was conducted on campus and was quite short. The second round was held at their office and consisted entirely of behavioral questions. It kicked off with a presentation, followed by back-to-back 45-minute interviews with different people, and concluded with a team lunch.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to work without a safety net?
