Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Baker Tilly International.
Audit Associate
The interview process had 2 rounds. The first round was a basic screening with financial questions about auditing, vouching, and the basics. The second round was with the director and felt too rude, making me uncomfortable and I panicked. They asked me very detailed questions about ledger posting, IFRS9, revenue recognition, leases, and substantive procedures.
- Can you discuss leases?
- Tell me about revenue recognition.
- How do you handle vouching and audit trails?
Audit Senior
It was a single round interview. First, an HR person asked general questions about my background and experience, and my ACCA progress. Then, a manager asked technical questions about IFRS and accounting treatments from my past experience.
- Can you share your experience using IFRS in previous roles?
- What's your status with ACCA?
- Tell me about your experience applying IFRS in past work and the accounting treatments you used.
Audit Intern
After getting the interviews, you'll have some behavior questions, and showing your qualifications during the meeting will help get offers. They might ask about your interest in the company and the position, and they'll want to know about your career plans and goals. This is a great opportunity to show your passion for the banking industry and this role!
- Describe a challenging situation you faced at work, how you dealt with it, and what the result was.
