I had a recorded video interview on the Sova platform. It was pretty simple, with 3 questions. For each question, you could either re-record it or upload your response. This means you had some time between questions. You get 90 seconds to prep and 3 minutes to answer each one.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Tell me about a challenge you faced and what the outcome was.
  • How do you handle prioritizing tasks when you have a lot on your plate?
  • Describe a weakness you have and how you've worked to overcome it.

I applied through LinkedIn around October/November. On December 23rd, I was asked to do a video recording in English, which I completed on December 27th because I had a week to do it. It included standard questions about my academic and life path. Towards the end of February, I had an interview with the manager and people leader for the activities. It was very straightforward and aptitude-focused, with some discussion about the work I did on my thesis project, which seemed to align with their needs.

The HR person interviewed me once, didn't pay attention to anything I said, was clearly focused on something else during the interview. Then I applied for several other positions at the company and they simply never called me back, even for positions I had previous experience in. I've met at least three people who told me exactly the same thing: You go into an interview, you don't pass to the next stage for some reason (normal, unfortunately), they don't interact with you properly and then they never let you proceed with the company's subsequent selection processes. I doubt the people at the top know that the internship selection processes are like this.

  • Can you tell me a little about yourself?
