Baird Investment Analyst interviews, decoded.

I applied through my university's career center from an on campus posting. About a month later, I got notified for a phone interview. After that phone screen, I had to send in a writing sample and also take an online analytical test. Then about two weeks after the phone screen, I got invited to an interview day at Baird's headquarters. We had 6 back to back interviews and another analytical test. The analytical test was medium difficulty. The interviews themselves were about a half hour each and were rather easy. They seem to really care about fit.

There was a quant test and then a week after the initial screening, I had six 1-on-1 interviews. We also met the team socially.

The interview process was pretty laid back. Baird is mainly concerned about behavioral fit, so that's the main thing to focus on during your interviews. On the technical side, there was nothing unusual, just be ready for standard research questions and quick mental math.
