The process was really long, taking about three months to complete. There were six interviews in total, including HR, three technical ones, the Engineering Manager, and a C-level executive. I had to constantly check in with the Talent Acquisition team to see where I stood. While I didn't always get detailed feedback, I seemed to be progressing fine. The rejection came after the sixth interview, citing a 'lack of maturity in my communication skills,' which was surprising as it's not something I've heard before. It felt like they had another candidate in mind and weren't upfront about it.
The interview process took a bit over a month and communication was great throughout. It began with a recruiter chat about the offer and my background. Then came a couple of technical interviews; the first was a basic filter, and the second was more detailed. After that, I interviewed with my potential manager, discussing work styles and diving deeper into my experience. The final interview focused on company culture and included behavioral questions.
Process is normal, typical. Discussion to see if I'm a fit for the role with the HR manager, first technical interview of code analysis to determine pros and cons of a piece of code. 2nd interview: live coding + design interview. 3rd interview: didn't do it.
