It was a detailed three round technical interview process. The first round was with the development team, followed by the manager, and finally the onsite manager. There are two distinct office environments: one from the legacy Merrill Lynch, which is very investment bank-like, and the other from Bank of America itself, a more conservative consumer bank. My experience was only in the Merrill Lynch office, which was very open and engaging. The interviews were heavily technology-focused and traditional, with straightforward web development questions.
This was for a testing role requiring 3 years of experience. It involved 2 technical rounds and an HR round, all conducted over the phone since I was in another city. The first tech round was with offshore team members and covered standard, easy questions on testing concepts and SQL. The second tech round was with the onsite manager who focused on my current project and asked questions about it.
It was a campus interview. They asked us about basic tech and software development concepts, including basic algorithms and some SDLC ideas.
