B&Q Frontend Engineer interviews, decoded.

Started with a phone call, then a week later we had a group interview where we had to discuss things, do some tasks, build something, and then present it to the group by trying to sell a product. After that, I had a one-on-one meeting with the deputy branch manager and the front end supervisor.

First, there was a telephone interview that was pretty relaxed and only about ten to fifteen minutes. Then, a few days later, I had an interview in the store. It had a friendly, upbeat, and laid-back vibe and lasted about thirty minutes.

The interview process involved group activities, a shop floor walk-around, and a one-to-one interview. We were asked to work as a team to build a paper towel structure, then give a sales pitch for a B&Q item. After that, we had to go onto the shop floor and offer help to customers. Finally, there was an interview.
