Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Bühler Group.
Accountant
I had a telephone screening first. They offered to let me apply for a different job because the one I applied for wasn't available anymore, which was weird because a headhunter contacted my friend a day later for a screen interview. I accepted the offer to apply for that role and went through the final interview. No offers were given because they decided to go with someone who had more experience. About a week later, the two jobs I originally applied for were advertised again.
- In what ways can you help with the knowledge transfer process?
- What are your career aspirations for the next five years?
- Do you believe you would be a good fit for a leadership role?
Staff Accountant
I got an email to come in for an in-person interview. It was a major waste of my time, honestly the worst interview. One person was in the office and the other person called in. The interviewer had terrible communication skills. She made me feel like I was being interrogated like a criminal, asking a lot of questions that weren't related to my experience, skills, or the job. She only asked me two questions about my experience and then just stared at me. The other interviewer kept complaining about not being able to hear me on the phone, and they were just so unorganized.
- What do you know about cost accounting?
Staff Accountant
The interview process was straightforward and they gave clear information. I got good exposure to learn about the company and it was very engaging. I had a great session and they showed great leadership skills. It really gave a very good impression about the people, culture and company itself.
- Can you tell me about your background?
- Could you share more details about this company?
