The initial call to interview felt really high pressure. I was told that training would start right after the interview, within a few days, and that if I missed even one day of training, my job would be at risk.
First I talked to the HR person, Avi. Then, if I was lucky, I got to talk to the manager and the sales director on the same day. Otherwise, I had to come back another time. I got the job offer about a week later, but I didn't start for about a month and a half. It was also right before a holiday break, so I ended up having 10 days off unpaid right away.
I applied via email and heard back a couple weeks later to come in for an interview. The first interview was with HR, about 45 minutes. It started with general life questions then moved to personal questions. Then I met the photo department head manager for about 5 minutes. He explained the job and the type of people he likes for the photo division. After that, I met with the photo floor managers for about 30 minutes, discussing photo equipment and my previous work experience. I went home and got an offer a week and a half later. It had a good salary, benefits, and vacation time.
