So I had three interviews for this Marketing Associate role. Right before what I thought was the final stage, they called and said they changed their minds. The position would now be freelance and task-based instead of full-time. I declined immediately because it didn't make sense for me to leave my current full-time job for a freelance role without knowing how long it would last or if I'd eventually be hired full-time.
There was a phone screening first, then a back-to-back interview with a senior accountant, accounting managers, and the accounting director. The director was judgmental, but most interviewers were friendly.
The interview process involved four rounds. It started with a recruiter phone call, followed by a product manager lead interview that went into great detail about my past experience, specifically focusing on data, collaboration, results, and reflection. Next, there was a take-home assignment that involved product optimization. The final step was an interview with the boss, but I didn't make it through to that last stage.
