Axpo General Intern interviews, decoded.

The interview started with a call from HR, followed by a meeting with the technical team. It was an in-person interview held in a conference room. Everyone was pretty friendly, and there weren't any major issues. The recruiter was really helpful, even available by phone throughout the whole process.

Applied about 2 months ago and got invited for 2 interviews. Had a bunch of emails with HR to schedule things because they messed up the scheduling multiple times. Asked HR about the interview, and they said it would be only about values and behavior. But when I got to the interview, they started asking super technical questions right away, and they weren't even related to the job description. I pointed this out, mentioning HR said it'd be behavioral, but they hadn't read the JD or talked to HR, so they didn't know. It was really awkward. If they'd been clear about the technical nature, I wouldn't have applied. There seems to be a communication breakdown in the company.

The hiring process is quite fast. First, there's a phone call where they ask about your availability and schedule, and give general company info. Then, an online interview where they ask why you chose this company and discuss your resume in general.
