Candidate-reported interview process

Applied online and heard back from the hiring manager about two weeks later. Had a 30-minute phone call, and after that, I was given a pretty long project to complete. Once I finished the project, I was asked to come in and meet with a few different team members. I followed up afterwards and was told they went with another candidate, which is fine, no hard feelings. I did ask for feedback on my interview and project but never heard back. It took up a lot of my time, and I think it would have been polite to at least send a quick email with some comments. It seems like they're growing really fast and some of the usual HR stuff might be slipping.

I had a phone screen with a junior to mid level recruiter. This recruiter was unable to answer questions about the marketing team and stated their purpose was only to discuss the company and culture. I found this approach to be a negative reflection of the company's attitude and behavior.

The interview process lasted about 3 weeks. I didn't interact with HR at all, only with a team member. It began with a 30-minute phone screen where we discussed my experience. After that, I was given a substantial assignment. I didn't hear back after submitting it, so I followed up after 10 days and was informed that my application was not moving forward. I didn't get any feedback on the reasons why, but given the delay in their response, I decided not to ask. Throughout the process, I had to initiate contact to keep things moving, but I guess that's to be expected since HR wasn't involved?
