Candidate-reported interview process

I went in for an interview at the store and spoke with the store manager. They asked me about my past experiences and some behavioral questions. The store manager also talked about their own career journey in retail. The interview lasted about 20 minutes.

The interview process involved very difficult questions about my business ideas, strategies for sales growth, and how I would handle unrealistic scenarios, tailored for a retail assistant manager role. The interviewer, based in NYC, seemed unaware of the actual day-to-day responsibilities of a retail keyholder.

The process was quite long with 4 stages, but it was a good opportunity to meet several team members before joining. Scheduling was the main challenge, as balancing interviews with my current job required careful coordination.
