They reached out to me for this job. The team consistently drew out the process despite promising to be significantly speedier. I waited about 2-3 weeks to hear the final answer after being told I would hear back within 2-3 days. In the end, I was rejected based off an internal hire.
This was the most unprofessional interview experience. HR should be involved. Candidates are passed on because staff doesn't feel like conducting interviews at a different time, as said by the hiring manager.
Got contacted almost two months after applying. They set up a phone chat for the next day. I thought it went really well: we talked about my experience, how I approach design, and what I want for my career. She said she wanted to see my portfolio later that week. The day after that, she asked for my references, which she checked later in the week. She also said a hiring coordinator would reach out to set up an in-person interview. A week went by and I hadn't heard anything, so I followed up. The next day, I was told I didn't get the job. It was a big bummer because I thought I was going to get an interview in the office, but they just ended it really suddenly. Not cool.
