Candidate-reported interview process

It started with a phone screen with a recruiter. Then there was a 1-hour technical screen done by Karat. The Karat interview felt scripted and impersonal. I decided not to continue with the process because I didn't think the hoops were worth it.

It was a screener/resume review call, then a Karat technical interview. The Karat interview had really bad API Design questions and the interviewer didn't know much. For a SaaS company I was surprised by the bad questions and the interviewer. The scenario I was given didn't make sense.

Had a few phone calls, and then I went to their office for an in-person interview. The people were nice. I found the company's business a bit hard to grasp from a software engineering perspective since I was still in college and didn't have much industry experience.
