Candidate-reported interview process

I had an initial call about the job, company info and was asked to give a presentation. A few days later, I got an email to schedule a technical interview via Teams.

You'll start with a recruiter call to chat about your background and if you're a good fit. Then, there's a technical interview with some coding or problem-solving stuff. After that, we'll do a behavioral interview to see how you work with others and if you can adapt. Lastly, you'll meet with the hiring manager or a panel to dive deeper into your technical skills and what you've done before.

The interviewer was great and the first couple of rounds went smoothly. But the next round was not so good. The director seemed unsure about the role. So there was another round of a case study and code, which I passed, earning the director's confidence. Just as they were about to extend an offer, HR informed me that the position was filled and suggested I reapply later.
