Authentic Graphic Designer interviews, decoded.

It was very straightforward and pleasant. They were very communicative and kept me in the loop. The creative director was very clear and spoke about the needs of the company and what was expected of this role.

It was a standard interview. I showed my projects and was asked about the level of guidance I received in my creative process. I explained my process and talked about times I faced challenges or had to collaborate with others. The process included an HR call, a call with the creative team, and then a creative assignment.

The interview process was awful. I spent 3.5 hours interviewing with about 10 different people across two office visits. I also had to complete a design test. After 2.5 months of interviewing and testing, they ghosted me. HR's lack of communication is unacceptable; they should at least provide timely updates. I believe design tests are unethical and may be used to steal ideas. Everyone I met seemed overworked and unhappy. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here due to their disrespect for candidates.
