Aurora Innovation Software Engineer interviews, decoded.

I talked to Aurora Recruiter, then the hiring manager, then had a tech interview with the team. After that, they totally ghosted me, no response for 3 months even though they said they'd set up the next interview the following week.

I had a hiring manager call, a technical screen, and then an onsite interview. The interview steps were pretty standard, but their process was really streamlined with quick turnaround between phases once things got going. I really appreciated getting feedback within 1 or 2 days all the way through the interview and offer process, as it helped ease my anxiety. The whole team was very professional, and the recruiter was especially helpful throughout the entire thing.

The phone interview went well. The recruiter was pleasant, but I was ultimately rejected. Don't put too much stock in what recruiters say! I believe the hiring manager's perspective is crucial. However, since the recruiter was so nice, it felt worthwhile!
