Atos-Syntel Graduate Software Engineer interviews, decoded.

i was interviewed for syntel, i cleared all the rounds and got finally placed and recieved a confirmation call from thier office, but still after 1 year i did not get my joining

The interview process had 4 rounds. The first was an aptitude test done in mass without identity verification, with results coming out 3 months later in college. The second round was a group discussion where groups chose their own topic and discussed, with everyone getting a chance to speak based on seating arrangement. Members who were lacking got 3 chances to speak. The third round was technical, without coding tests, but involved math puzzles and questions about final year projects. The fourth round was with HR.

If you aren't referred by someone already working here, you'll start with an online test. Then there's a group discussion (GD) about current topics, which is pretty easy if you prepare a bit beforehand. After that, you'll have a technical interview. They give you a report card-like document beforehand where you list your technical qualifications, so fill it out carefully. I suggest listing software engineering, C, and C++ as your main skills – that's usually enough to get you through. Finally, there's an HR round, which is mostly a formality once you've passed the technical part, but still, don't take it lightly, be prepared. If all goes well, you'll be selected.
